COLLABORATIVE FAMILY LAW
Collaborative family law is a technique where we resolve the issues and conflict in a family that's struggling through a divorce with the assistance of two attorneys, a divorce coach, a neutral financial and a mental health professional if children are involved. Through this process, court intervention is kept to a minimum. The attorneys and other professionals involved work together as a cohesive whole to address the issues in the case and find solutions that are favorable to both parties.

The idea is to include the other side without alienating them.  The children benefit from this approach because they're shielded from potential conflict between mother and father.  This collaborative process prevents children from experiencing a hurtful and distressing time in court during litigation.  This is an option that can be helpful to you even if children are not involved.
